About
Matevž Čebašek (Kranj, 1995) graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague with a Bachelor’s degree in Photography in 2024. For his graduation work he received a stipend from the Stiching tot Steun Foundation. He did his internship with Amsterdam based documentary photographer Henk Wildschut. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions across Europe. In 2025 he won Encontros da Imagem Award in Braga, Portugal.While working with photography, video, and text, he is currently developing his own long-term projects that explore the human condition and the connections between photography and memory. Within his documentary approach, he is constantly reflecting on the medium of photography and rethinking its relationship with objectivity. His projects are a continuous reflection on what can be considered as an image of reality.
